HIGHLY RESPECTED™ began with the values my grandfather, Harvey Richardson, instilled in me. He was disciplined, direct, and unwavering when it came to respect. He believed your name was shaped by your conduct—how you treated people, what you stood for, and what you refused to compromise. His presence and conviction left a lasting impression on me and became part of the foundation of this brand.

My appreciation for creativity came from my mother, Rosa Maye. She taught me to recognize possibility in ordinary things, trust my instincts, and give every idea its own identity. From her, I learned that creativity is not only about making something new. It is about having the vision and patience to turn what you imagine into something real.

Together, their influence shaped the way I approach life and design: with character, creativity, discipline, and intention.

The collections are inspired by the world that shaped me—sports, fast and classic street cars, history, the beauty and presence of women, and the history of hip-hop and the culture built around it. Familiar places, old pastimes, and personal memories are reinterpreted through clothing with substance, identity, and a point of view.

As the founder, I wanted to create something meaningful—something that would leave a lasting mark on the world and continue to grow beyond me. HIGHLY RESPECTED™ allows me to carry forward the values that shaped me while creating something future generations can inherit, expand, and make their own.
